Buying from us.
1. Unless stated to the contrary, all items are offered as original and genuine, and are sent on 7 days approval against full payment, and can be returned for any reason during this period for a full refund, (less our postage/packing and payment costs - unless not as described) and provided the item has not been damaged or offered for resale. We offer an unconditional guarantee, and if any item is proved to be fraudulent, it may be returned for a full refund (including postage) at any time. This guarantee excludes clasps already fitted to any post 1939 medals when sold.
2. U.K. Postage Charges.    
Special Delivery (Insured) £6.50 per package for up to four medals, then add .50p per medal.
£1.00 extra postage if a WW1 Memorial Plaque is included.
  Items with a value of £36 or less will be sent "Signed For Delivery" a for a flat fee of £3.00p.
3. Overseas Postal charges.    
Overseas postage will be by "International Signed For" for a flat fee of ten pounds sterling (£10.00p) for up to two medals: then add £1 per medal up to a maximum of £20.00p, and then add £5 if a plaque is included. Maximum insured postage for a medal group will not exceed £25. This will include insurance of packages for up to £500 or in many cases only £250 pounds sterling (dependent on country of destination) see U.P.U. rules on Royal Mail website.
Please note: The new international Parcel-force rules EXCLUDE items made of silver and anything over 100 yrs old, thus most medals would not be covered for insured compensation. We therefore now ONLY use GPO "International Signed For" post.
4. Cheques or cash please.  Sorry - no credit cards.
5. All overseas payments must be by Paypal (account is: collecting@elite-collections.com) or bank transfer. (PayPal charges are extra - but fixed at 2% - we pay the balance.)
6. Sterling cheques only accepted, just make payable to "A. J. Woodliffe - Collecting Account" please. Goods will be dispatched on cheque clearance.
7. We operate a "lay-by" scheme for the more expensive items. Please ask - we can always come to some sort of agreement.
8. We are also interested in part-exchange ideas, especially for any of the items listed on the home page. We are also interested in purchasing collections. You must tell us what sort of value you are looking for in any deal, as medal prices are now so variable. We will usually meet your reasonable expectations.
9. We are members of the OMRS and abide by their codes of practice.
10. We guarantee strict confidentiality at all times, and no client information is passed to any third party at any time.
11. We post on the Tuesday following clearance of payment, , so please allow at least 7 days from the Tuesday following your purchase before "chasing up" purchases. (28 days overseas - USA can take six weeks or more due to security checks)
